National Customer Preference Registry

As per TRAI’s Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, National Do Not Call Registry (NDNC) has been replaced by National Customer Preference Registry (NCPR). The primary objective of NCPR is to ensure that consumers do not get commercial communications of promotional nature unless specifically opted for. NCPR Has been classified into following.

A) Fully Blocked : All calls and sms from telemarketers will be blocked.
B) Partially Blocked : All calls blocked and SMS allowed on selected preferences.

Consumer may choose from following preferences for partially blocked category:
1. For Banking, Insurance, Financial products and credit cards.
2. For Real Estate.
3. For Education.
4. For Health.
5. For Consumer goods and automobiles.
6. For Communication, Broadcasting, Entertainment and IT.
7. For Tourism and Leisure.

Registration Process
Fully Blocked: Type START 0 and send to 1909.
Partially Blocked: Type START < preference number > and send to 1909.

For Example: If you want to receive SMS on Banking then send START 1 to 1909. Or If you want SMS on Real Estate, Education and Health then send START 2,3,4 to 1909.

DeRegistration Process
You may deregister from NCPR service only after three months from the date of registration. To deregister type STOP and send to 1909. For More : Dial 1909.
