The terms used to talk about computer security threats are famous for being many and confusing. But first, we need a word to cover all these subsets in general.
That word is Malware.

A Malware Is:
Malware is the general term we will use to refer to all these security threats. Malware (Malicious Software) is a software designed to harm or secretly access a computer system without the owner's informed consent. Purpose of Malware to spy, steal or destroy your computer (or some other computer or network server etc.).
> Computer Viruses,
> Computer Worms,
> Trojan horses.
Other Malwares also includes:
Adware, Keylogger, Spyware, Botnet, Backdoor, Rogue Programs, Rootlets, Zombie, Dishonest and unwanted software, including true viruses.Important Points Are:
1. A virus is a subset of malware.
2. A virus is a malware but a malware may or may not be a virus.
